DX8200A
 The
new DX8200A is Datalogic’s answer to the growing need for
affordable standard equipment requiring minimum support for installation
and setting. The DX8200A omnidirectional reading capability is
supported by ACR™ technology for maximum reading performance
and reliability as well as patented ASTRA™ technology, which
does not use external sensors or mechanical focusing systems to
extend the system‘s depth of field with the maximum level
of reliability. Packtrack™ also allows maximum conveyor
throughput, assuring 100% tracking with a minimum gap between
parcels of just 50 mm, and no need for external sensors or requirements
for complex system calibration.
The industrial design and extensive
use of proved technologies make the DX8200A an extremely reliable
reader able to assure the best performance in the most demanding
conditions and strengthen Datalogic’s position as a world

ASTRA™ Technology
Automatically
SwiTched Reading Area™ is the new Datalogic technology based
on a multi-laser architecture and a fixed mounted optic system which concentrates the multiple laser emissions in a single laser
beam. As each laser emitter is focused on a specific range of
the reading area, a
sophisticated electronic controller selects the best focused laser
emitter with respect to the code to read. This allows the reading
of medium-high density codes in a large reading area on very fast conveyors.
ACR Technology
Advanced Code Reconstruction technology allows the reading of low aspect ratio labels placed anywhere on a parcel and enhances the readability of poorly printed or damaged barcodes.
PackTrack™
Advanced ASTRA™ technology, moreover, permits the PackTrack™
function, reducing the min. object gap and increasing system throughput,
to be fully exploited.
Genius™ Setup Software
The
SW platform of the DX8200A, based on the GENIUS™ program,
permits 100% control of scanner behavior via SW: the new DIGITECH™
signal processing technology permits all the scanner parameters
to be configured via GENIUS™. As a result, scanner customization
is made by simply downloading the right SW recipe into the scanner.
The DX8200AA is completely compatible with the DX8200AA, the 6000
scanner family (DS6300, DS6400, DS6500) and the SC6000 industrial
controller, making Datalogic's offer more flexible and scalable,
with numerous possibilities and solutions.
Ethernet & Field Bus Connectivity
 Connectivity
has been improved with the introduction of built-in Ethernet connectivity
with implemented TCP-IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and Profinet
protocols. This capability makes the DX8200AA perfect for
multi-sided barcode tunnels and arrays.
Display & Keypad
 A
practical display with keyboard increases the DX8200AA's ease
of use by offering a simple and complete human interface without
the need of a PC. The new ASR™ function permits completely
automatic slave scanner replacement. The new DX8200AA inherits
the mechanical design of the DS8100, with exactly the same
dimensions and footprint.
