DX8200
The DX8200
omni-directional laser provides omni-directional unattended barcode
scanning at an unbeatable price/performance ratio. The same
technologies featured by the DX8200 - performance leader in this
application segment - are employed in the DX8200, making it a
powerful solution for omni-directional bar code reading.
The DX8200
omnidirectional reading capability is supported by ACRT technology
for maximum reading performance and reliability as well as patented
ASTRAT technology, which does not use external sensors or mechanical
focusing systems to extend the system's depth of field with the
maximum level of reliability. PacktrackT also allows maximum
conveyor throughput, assuring 100% tracking with a minimum gap
between parcels of just 5 inches and no need for external sensors or
requirements for complex system calibration.
ASTRAT Technology

ASTRAT (Automatically SwiTched Reading Area) is the Datalogic
patented solution to a fundamental need in the Material Handling
sector: to read medium-high density bar codes in a large reading
area on very fast conveyors. ASTRAT is based on a multi-laser
architecture and a fixed mounted optic system that concentrates the
multiple laser emissions in a single laser beam, increasing the
reading capability of a single scanner and providing an extended
depth of field. Each laser emitter is focused on a specific range of
the reading area and selected by means of a sophisticated electronic
controller based on the actual position of the code to be
read.
ACR Technology
The DX8200 is
available with a real time linear decoder and an (Advanced Code
Reconstruction) 2nd generation decoder. ACR technology is based on a
powerful DSP able to carry out real time bar code image
reconstruction and decoding, allowing the reading of non-oriented
labels placed in various positions on objects. This code
reconstruction capability also dramatically enhances the readability
of poorly printed or damaged codes.
CDSquareT

With CD SQUARET Analog signal conditioning, Gain
and bandwidth can be controlled as a function of
distance. Digitizer parameters can be adjusted to optimize
code detection. Only the laser focused in the field in which the
code is detected is active; no moving parts, very high speed
reaction time. This Virtual autofocus extends the depth of field, as
well as adding distance and dimension detection. Not only the code
but additional information (distance, shape and volume estimation)
can be given by the bar code reader
PackTrackT
PackTrackT is a DL patented system for parcel tracking
supported by the DX8200.
Thanks to a sophisticated controller,
PackTrackT tracks
the parcels as they pass through the reading station, matching the
codes to the correct box. PackTrackT can manage the most demanding
applications, such as 6-sided reading systems, where traditional
systems are unable to detect the real position of the code,
necessary for tracking (for instance bar code labels on baggage in
airport applications).
Today, the limitations of these applications
are overcome by CD SQUARET and PackTrackT that assure 100% correct
bar code assignment with 5 inch minimum gap between objects.
PackTrackT eliminates the need for external accessories required
by the traditional tracking systems, such as photocells, encoders
and
height detector barriers, making installation and setting of the
whole transport system less expensive, faster and
easier.
